by Matt on August 27, 2010

urbanspoon app homescreen

Whether it’s in your home town or while on vacation we’ve all had that little debate with our significant other about where to eat. In my opinion both sides usually have a preference but almost always both say ‘I don’t care’. RSS logo
Blogging has really caught on in the past six-ish years and what’s great about them are that you can find someone writing about any subject you might be interested in. One of the best ways to keep up to date with your favorite blogs is to subscribe to RSS feeds. If you don’t already know, basically an RSS feed grabs the recent entries from any blogs you subscribe to and puts them together in a list. It is a very simple concept but very useful to read easily and avoid hoping from site to site and multiple pages. I found some of the best free ways to read your RSS feeds on your Blackberry with some simple apps and also more robust ones.

With the release of the Torch and Blackberry OS 6 RIM has announced a native podcast application for new and current models. I spent a few minutes making a video walk through of how the app works and some of the features. If you use the Blackberry App World a lot you will be right at home with Podcasts because the functionality and theme is pretty much the same.
